Chicken Casserole

Submitted by: JustRightMenus

One of the more flavorful casseroles I've ever tried, this recipe has been made over and over for years in my husband's family.

If you are planning to have a roast chicken for dinner and are wondering what to do with the leftover meat, this should be on your menu!

Give it a try!

1 package chopped frozen broccoli, heated and drained

4 c. cooked chicken, diced

1 egg, beaten

1 tsp lemon juice

1/2 c. mayonnaise

2 cans cream of chicken soup

1 can cream of celery soup

1/2 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese

1 package dry herb dressing (you may not need the whole bag)  Note: dressing = stuffing. It just depends on where you live.

4 TB melted margarine

Place drained cooked broccoli in a large greased casserole dish (9 x 13).

Next, put the chicken down in an even layer.

Combine egg, may, soups, and lemon juice. Pour evenly over the chicken.

Sprinkle the cheese on top.

Mix melted margarine and dressing. Spread on top.
