Ingredients
1 c. shortening (optional: use partly butter)
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c. fllour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
Coating:
2 TB sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
Directions
Heat oven to 400°.
Mix shortening, sugar, and eggs thoroughly.
Stir in remaining ingredients, except coating.
Shape dough into balls the size of small walnuts.
Mix the coating ingredients together in a small dish.
Roll balls in coating mix.
Place cookies 2" apart on UNgreased baking sheets.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until very lightly browned.
