I learned a lot from this video, from the BBQ Pit Boys.

Ingredients

Chicken Legs

Olive Oil

Dry Rub

Barbecue Sauce

Directions

Get your coals going over only half of your grill.

Coat the chicken legs with the dry rub and a little olive oil.

Once the coals are all ashed over, nice and hot, sear the chicken legs on all sides on that side of the grill.

Then, move the legs over to the side of the grill that does not have coals, brush them with barbecue sauce, and put the lid on.

After 10 minutes, flip them over, brush with sauce again, and continue to cook with the lid on for another 10 minutes.

I had small chicken legs, so I cooked them for 10 minutes on each side. However, for larger legs, they'll need 20 minutes per side.

Once they have reached an internal temperature of 180°, return them to the coal side of the grill for just a couple more minutes, turning once.

Serve with extra barbecue sauce poured over them.
