Glazed Butternut Squash

Ingredients
3 lbs. butternut squash, peeled and cut into 2 inch cubes
1/2 c. apple cider or apple juice
1/4 c. water
2 TB butter or margarine
1 TB sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp dried sage
1/4 c. chopped toasted pecans
Directions
Stir together all but the pecans and sage (squash, cider, water, butter, sugar, salt, and pepper) in a deep-sided, non-stick skillet.
Bring to a boil over lmedium-high heat. Cover and reduce heat.
Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 25 minutes or until squash is tender.
Uncover and cook 5 minutes until sauce thickens.
Gently stir in sage and pecans until well combined.
