Bread-Dipping Spices
Submitted by: JustRightMenus
Description:
If you sprinkle some of this spice onto a plate and pour a couple tablespoons of good olive oil over it, you can then serve it with bread and give someone a new addiction. This is SO very good. We have it on Fancy Dinner Nights, as an appetizer.
This also makes a great gift - put it in a cute jar & package it with a nice bottle of olive oil (try to find a fancy-looking bottle they can keep & refill) and maybe even a loaf of home-made bread!).
Servings: lots!

I found it online, touted as a Carrabbas Italian Restaurant recipe.
Ingredients
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
1/2 tsp rosemary
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 TB oregano
1 TB basil
1 TB parsley
1 TB thyme
1 TB minced garlic
1/8 tsp lemon juice
Directions
Mix ingredients together in a food processor (or crush together w/ a mortar and pestle?)
Pour out onto a paper towel to dry before storing in a small jar.
(I usually store it in an empty spice jar.. I think mine used to have thyme in it.)
