Coconut Macaroons

Ingredients

2/3 c. sweetened condensed milk

3 c. sweetened OR unsweetened shredded coconut

1 tsp vanilla

Quadruple Recipe:

2 14-oz cans milk

2 14-oz bags coconut

4 tsp vanilla

Directions

Heat oven to 350°.

Blend all ingredients in a bowl. Drop by teaspoonfulls* on a well-greased sheet.

Bake at 350° until light brown, about 8-10 min.

Remove from the pan at once and cool on a wire rack.**

 

For coconut and chocolate macaroons, stir into the dough 1/4 c. Nestle Toll House Simi-Sweet Chocolate Mini Morsels. Proceed cooking as above.

 

* Mom actually uses a rounded tablespoon to scoop and shape the dough.

** Does anyone actually have these? Mom and I use brown paper bags opened up & laid flat on the counter to lay the cookies on to cool.
