Butter Pecan Cookies

Ingredients
1 c. butter or margarine, softened
2/3 c. packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 c. all-purpose flour
Pecan halves
Directions
Cream butter and sugar; blend in egg.
Stir together flour and salt; stir into creamed mixture.
Chill 1 hour.
Form into 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten in one direction with fork tines; top each with a pecan half.
Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes.
